Addcar was non existent when I arrived in St Martin after booking months in advance. Avoid that cheap price. Too good to be true.

Avoid them, driver was nasty, and he was the same customer service agent, rude as ever. They were late in picking up and would not accept my insurance although I checked in with my insurance before arrival. They are a scam, please avoid them. They refused to cancel but I called uber for my ride

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE:
I just came out of the airport (Tangiers, Morocco) and called the number provided by car jet! The guy at the other end informed me I was late (even though my flight was delayed and then I was delayed at passport control. I tried to inform the guy that I was delayed at passport control, but he hung up on me. Worst experience I’ve ever had. Avoid like the plague! Honestly, you’re better off walking than using Addcar who are meant to be representatives of Car Jet!

I had a frustrating experience with Addcar in Bucharest. They have an absurd policy requiring customers to wash the car before returning it—something I’ve never encountered with any other rental company. The nearest car wash is at a petrol station, where you have to pay at least LEI 5 for 2 minutes wash by ourselves but eventually need to pay LEI 10 just to get the job done properly. It’s a complete hassle, especially when returning a rental on a schedule.

A car rental company should include reasonable cleaning costs in their service, not make customers go through extra inconvenience. Definitely wouldn’t rent from them again.

I ordered the car on Madeira through addcar rental website. The actual car rental company was Prime Azores. I ordered a better insurance online and the deposit should have been 250euro. I have only paid a 15euro as a booking fee. When I arrived to pick up the car, they booked a wrong car for me, so I had to wait one day. Essentiallylost 1 day. The price per day was different and I had to pay the deposit of 1300euro.
And as you are left with a chance of not getting a car at all you go with the higher deposit.
The car was hastily wiped, but not fully washed and not filled with gas.
Avoid this company, completely arbitrary numbers online that don't correspond with the reality.

I read all the comments, everyone felt disappointed and scammed by the company, actually even I was in the same situation, a fraudulent company that makes you pay more money through many ways.

Its worst rental company in marakech. First they wont accept your credit card , " reliefe" they will charge you an extra fee for that , then when i returned the car the took all my deposite , they said that the car was damaged. Of course it was not . Be careful its a scam , Be careful

They charged me twice the amount they suppise to charge. Fabricate invoices. Rip off customers. Very unfriendly and unprofessional staff.
Stay away from them. Do not hire a car from them.

Horrible experience! ADD Car scammed me with extra charges I wasn’t informed about and didn’t care that I’d already purchased insurance online—they forced me to pay again. They make up rules on the spot, like not accepting two credit cards. This place is a complete rip-off!

This company is nothing but a money trap! ADD Car charged me for hidden fees that were never mentioned upfront, refused to accept two credit cards, and bullied me into buying extra insurance despite me already paying for one online. Their shady tactics are unacceptable. Don’t waste your money here!

Absolute scam! ADD Car is the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. They overcharged me for things they never disclosed, refused to accept two credit cards, and forced me to pay for extra insurance even though I’d already paid for one through the website. This company is designed to trick and rip you off at every step. Stay far away if you value your time, money, and sanity!

#Three broken cars changed in two hours.
#Threatened to be left without car in the middle of the night (with the whole family) if I was not happy with the shape of their cars and to be put on the black list.
#Nobody cared about the three emails sent.
#60 euros fine if you don't return the car spotless clean.

Three words: AVOID ADDCAR ROMANIA!

All the above happened on December 22nd, between 2:30 and 4:40 AM.

The first car we were given looked fine, but 40 km later some lamps started to light on the control panel and error messages to appear. Called them and been suggested to return and change the car. We did it, even if it took us another 30 min drive.

The second car was an old Ford Fiesta. Few hundred meters later we realized that the airbag malfunction lamp was on and that the gear box was broken (no neutral position for the changing gears stick.)

Back to Addcar, we got a Dacia Sandero Stepway. Fine. But, after checking the winter tires, we realized that they were very tired. Since we were plannig a trip in a mountain area, we asked if it would have been possible to have a car provided with better winter tires.

At that precise moment, the employee "exploded". He started threaten us with cancelation and also said that I will be put on their black list as a "bad customer".

Really? At 4.00 AM? After everything that happened? Perhaps, they should be on my black list?

I tried to get in touch with the management 3 times by mail and once by phone.

Guess what? Nobdy cared about that.

At the time of returning the car we have been warned that, if the car was not spotless clean, a 60 euros fine would be charged. 60 euros for a car wash?

Please, do yourself a favour and avoid them.

Avoid this company I rent the car in Bucharest for 600 euro deposit when I arrived the staff said 1300 euro not 600 I paid extra 200 euro for insurance and gived me a high milage rubbish car which is broken after 100 km 1 day it was for changing and gived me another car for clutch problems. When I dropped off he said its have a scratch for the tyre protector it's not covered the insurance I sad I don't pay for this he said ok but charge 60 euro for the car wash i said don't pay I go and wash the car he said I can't because the car I gived back and I can't move it's a big scam all company make sure you don't rent here

The worst company would not even give it 1star. Scammers. They claim the deposit will ensure even if you return with a broken car they won’t charge you and give you your refund back due to a high deposit amount. They promise to give you a refund for the deposit before you even get onto the flight home. They then say 48 hours once you drop the car off. They then never return your emails or messages and don’t send you the money back. Worst company ever DO NOT book

Scammers....make sure u take close up video of the whole car from bumper to roof. I returned car agent points out a stone chip on bumper near parking sensor. I mean u can can't see unless u know its there. He missed a scratch the was on the door but locked this which is the first spot he went to. Charged £250.
I did have video of car but didn't have this spot. I belive this was already there before car was given to me.
Also never provided me with invoice for charged and insurance refused to pay out.

AVOID ITS A TOTAL SCAM!!!
Scm scam scam they will take your money and rob you blind and then just shrug their shoulders at you FORGET customer service it does not exist they wont even bother getting back to you AVOID YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Terrible Experience with addCar - Avoid at All Costs!

I recently rented a car from addCar through Expedia while in Morocco, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Please read before renting a cart with these guys!

Unsafe Car Collection: The car collection took place in a dark, secluded corner of a car park, making me feel extremely unsafe.

Suspicious Credit Card Handling: The staff took my credit card and inspected it thoroughly before putting it in the machine, which made me so uncomfortable that I froze my card, fearing they might have been memorizing the numbers.

Dirty Car: The car was delivered dirty. While I understand that Morocco has a lot of sand, the state of the car was a bit too much and yet I wouldn't have cared if it wasn't for the next point! please red on!

Hidden Cleaning Fees: We were not informed that we had to return the car clean, or we would be charged a cleaning fee. The small print says you have to pay 150 Euros if you don't return the car clean!!!

Late and Rude Staff: When we returned the car, the staff member arrived 20 minutes late and was extremely rude from the start.

Ridiculous Cleaning Charge: He demanded 20€ to clean the car. When I refused, he pointed out a clause in the Expedia fine print stating a 150€ fee if the car wasn’t cleaned, which is outrageous!

Deposit Issues: I had to give him the 20€ to get my deposit back. He insisted on seeing the machine receipt from the week before, which luckily I had. Otherwise, he might have refused to return my 1000€ deposit!

No Receipts Provided: He did not provide a return receipt or a receipt for the 200 Dirhams we gave him. I suspect he will hand the car over to the next tourist as it is and pocket the money.

Avoid this company at all costs! Pay a bit more and use a reputable and safe dealer in this country at least.

Terrible people, worst customer service, made online reservation, paid for insurance. They didn't accept the insurance, took 6000 Leva deposit, gave me a different car which was dirty and empty fuel tank. When returned the car they claimed that I scratched the car which was not true. They deducted $989 dollars. When I objected was told to complain to my grandmother. I returned the car clean (from car wash) and full tank, was told car is dirty. When receiving the car there was 2 guys protesting the same charges for scratch. I heard one guy paid 2000 euro. The other guy told me not to rent car here because they will find a scratch anyway. This is a criminal behavior. I will never rent a car in this company in Sofia again.

I used this company because it was recommended by Wizzair's Car Trawler.
Long waiting at the airport for the shuttle to pick up the car (after many calls).
At the desk, rude and impolite staff.
On the reservation, payment accepted by debit card (debit card authorised for deposit). After the reservation I received an email informing that debit card is not accepted.
On the desk, the staff didn't want to try to make the deposit. He just told that without a credit card they don't give the car.
But the reservation was accepted and paid!!
They are not honest!
I used this card in many places of the world with different rent a car companies and it was always accepted!

SCAM !! TO BE AVOID!!

We used this company because it was recommended by EasyJet's Car Trawler, but the car we were given was quite old and on the first day the drivers window mechansim failed, leaving the window in the down position. By this time we were on another island and could not get back to replace the car, neither could we get it repaired on our trip as a part was not available, so we spent the whole week driving with the window down. After such an event you might expect the company would offer a discount but we were met with a rude and unhelpful response. To make matters worse, when I contacted Car Trawler on my return they said "unfortunately no because we cannot investigate anything is this situation, our hands are tied". I just think this is appalling customer service, and all I can say is that I will know in future to avoid this company like the plague!
