My first yoga retreat and I couldn't have hoped for better! Ali and Pedro have created a beautiful space which felt like a home from home. We had healthy, delicious organic vegetarian food in abundance. Pedro covered a whole range of yoga methods including aerial, a first for me, and a range of meditations. The sea is nearby and the extras like the wine tasting and trips to Obodos and Navares added a holiday flavour to the week. I looked forward to every day (and every meal!). Having a small group of people was great - 5 of us in total - as it allowed us to bond more easily. A fantastic experience!

A truly restorative yoga and meditation retreat ❤️. A calm, caring environment provided by Pedro and Ali with a great balance between focussed yoga and meditation alongside personal free time and some walks and sightseeing trips.
It was a lovely surprise to discover how much time and attention Pedro and Ali give to their guests, enabling a memorable shared experience 🙏🏻
As for the mainly home grown food, delightful. Ali has a real skill in producing nutritious, tasty food every day. A real treat 😋

I just finished a wonderful week with Pedro and Ali and wholeheartedly recommend their retreat. Everything is done with care, quality and generosity - the yoga and meditation sessions, delicious meals and memorable excursions. On top, the room is immaculate and comfortable, and within 7min walk to a beautiful secluded beach. Airport transfer makes for a stress free experience.
Met some lovely people and had many interesting discussions. Obrigada!!

If you’re a yoga beginner like me, open to learn more while also wanting to have some days to yourself in a friendly / familiar international environment, this is the retreat for you! You will have the time to slow down, take care of your mind and body, with great healthy food, great new people and a good balance of free time and diverse activities. One can see the careful planning and dedication of Ali and Pedro’s family to provide the best experience possible, and the hardest part is indeed leaving the retreat and going back to the “real world”.

Me and my two friends wanted to do a yoga retreat for a very long time and we could not have chosen a better one! We loved everything about it; meeting the lovely family, the other participants, the challenging yoga, the food, the talks during breakfast/lunch/dinner, the wonderful meditations and of course the beautiful location! We would recommend this retreat for everyone who wants to take so time off and likes small settings, where you feel home immediately:)

This was my first yoga retreat and I feel so fortunate to have selected 4 Elements Retreat with Ali and Pedro! I truly am so appreciative of the experience and could not have asked for a more balanced and fulfilling program. Pedro is a wonderful instructor whose passion for the work he does and knowledge is evident in every class. I really enjoyed the intro to aerial yoga. The progression of different exercises and techniques is both challenging and relaxing at times. Ali is an amazing chef… Her meals were a work of art and heart! The fact that so much of the food we ate was grown in their gardens was such a treat. I can’t wait to have the recipes in Ali’s upcoming cookbook. The walks and excursions also provided opportunities to explore Portugal in unique and fun ways while getting to know the other visitors. It is well worth the $$ as they even provide airport transfer. I highly recommend this family-owned and operated retreat and hope to visit again in the future.

Overall, a great retreat. First of all, Ali & Pedro and their entire family are good people - you can feel it is not only just business for them and that they care about the quality of your stay. They show it through the delicious and well-thought out organic food that they serve you, good quality yoga classes with proper alignment (which is rare in these types of retreats) and most surprisingly, numerous little experiences that make you reflect on your current mental state, but I don't want to spoil that for those of you who decide to join them :) I also recommend surfing classes at Surf 360 and the instructor (Pedro) who was super encouraging, patient and made me really enjoy the activity.

My first time visiting a yoga retreat and could not have asked for more. Firstly, Pedro is an amazing instructor, he is patient, knowledgeable and passionate. It's not "only" Hatha yoga but includes meditation as well as Ying yoga. You will be fed extremely well by Ali, and enjoy lovely walks and excursions - non are compulsory and all are inclusive. If it isn't as "cheap" as some others it is because it offers far more, even airport transfer. If you want a break that can help you to develop physically, mentally and spiritually and experience this beautiful part of the world then I highly recommend.

This was my first yoga retreat and I'm so happy I chose 4elements! Ali and Pedro are amazing hosts and they have curated a retreat that is the perfect blend of yoga, meditation, adventure, food, and relaxation. From the minute you arrive, you are treated like family. My favorite part is the beautiful garden that provides the nutritious food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Each meal is visually stunning and absolutely delicious. The yoga every morning was rejuvenating and I learned something new each day. The January retreat was centered around goal-making for the new year and I really enjoyed the workshops and 1:1 coaching. The retreat is located within a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 30 minute walk to Santa Cruz so you're able to explore during your free time. I shared a birthday with a fellow yogi and Ali & Pedro made our day so special! I'm so happy to have made lifelong friendships with the ladies I met here. I enjoyed mingling with their furry family members as well (Freddy, Shanti, and Nina). Overall, this was an experience of a lifetime. Thank you so much, Ali and Pedro!

When I think back to my stay at 4 elements yoga retreat, my heart feels warm and fulfilled. Pedro and Ali are both warm hosts who not only serve you delicious food at any time of the day (with almost all fruits and vegetables from their own garden), but are also great, sensitive and funny conversationalists. During my time at 4 elements, I was not only able to deepen my knowledge of yoga, but was also able to fully devote myself to the meaning of meditation. There was a good balance between yoga classes (even aerial yoga) and various walks and excursions. After just the first few days, the whole group, which was made up of great people, was deeply relaxed. I can only recommend 4elements yoga retreat to anyone who is looking for an authentic, soothing stay in a beautiful, calming environment.

This was my first time ever at a yoga retreat and I enjoyed it tremendously!
Ali, Pedro and Matteo are incredibly friendly, welcoming you into their family. Ali's cooking is incredibly delicious and the portions every day are more than generous. The location is beautiful, very close to the beach and Ali takes you on amazing walks and there's plenty of time to explore more or go for a run through the sand dunes. The organised day trips and the wine tasting are also well worth it!
Pedro is the most patient and genuinely caring yoga teacher and did not despair even with someone as inexperienced as me. Highly, highly recommend!

Ali and Pedro are very warm and welcoming. The house was lovely with large garden from which most of the food was cooked (and the food was delicious!). The week was a really nice balance of different forms of yoga, breath work and meditation including things I'd not tried before. The group was small and friendly with a mix of solo travellers and friends coming together. The day trips and wine tasting were a nice addition as were the walks. All round, highly recommended for anyone wanting to get away and nourish mind and body!

I went to this retreat in May and Ali and Pedro made me feel so comfortable and at home, that I returned again this October. I went for the journaling retreat, which involved a lot of writing and art workshops, nature walks, and creative time. It was a great break from my life at home and gave me an opportunity to relax and disconnect. In my free time I went for walks or just sat on the gorgeous rugged beach that is located around the corner from their house. I met some really kind and like-minded people there, and also the food was delicious.

We had a smashing time on our yoga retreat. Ali and Pedro were exceptional hosts, kind, warm and welcoming. The meals were vegetarian, beautifully presented with most ingredients sourced from their extensive fruit and vegetable garden. Every meal was a delight! The excursions were interesting and fun, with regular trips to a nearby beach for an optional daily swim in the ocean- just heaven! The accommodation was modern clean and comfortable. The yoga was varied in styles with access to yoga equipment, including Ariel yoga. Ali and Pedro provided local knowledge of the beautiful surrounding area, and helped with our onward journey to Lisbon. We were in a small group of like minded wonderful people. We have made happy memories for life !!

This was my second visit to Ali and Pedro's magical retreat experience and I'm 100% certain there will be a third! The 6-day retreat provides the perfect balance of yoga, meditation, walks, outings, beaches, amazing food, and relaxation. There is plenty of time for interaction and activities as well as reflection, alone time, reading, naps - whatever you need from your retreat experience. The location is just beautiful and the beaches of Torres Vedras are second to none and close by for visiting either by walk or car. The retreat venue is like a home away from home - plenty of privacy in the lovely big ensuite rooms, as well as communal dining and living space. Ali and Pedro and their family (including the furry ones) make the experience even better with their welcoming, relaxed and accommodating approach to their guests and the whole experience. Thank you for such a wonderful week!

This retreat was amazing - such a homely environment with the best vegetarian food and family atmosphere. The yoga and meditation sessions were amazing with the option of excursions/activities in the week but also balanced with 'free time' to chill on the beach or explore the local areas. The beaches are close by and beautiful. Ali and Pedro and his family really made the experience so special. The room was perfect and the house and garden with home grown fruit and vegetables grown with love to make the food so good.
I really hope to visit again soon and a big thank you for the special experience!

This was just the perfect retreat. A great balance of yoga, meditation and other interesting activities. Enough to keep our small group busy but incorporating time for self reflection and freedom to do your own thing. The location is superb, close to the beach but also within walking distance of a lovely seaside resort. Each day we enjoyed delicious meals sourced from the garden which were very generous and well thought out. Ali and Pedro were very generous and caring hosts and included us in their family life so that we felt welcome and comfortable in their home. This was my first yoga retreat and first solo holiday. It inspired me with the confidence to do more. I learned so much from the yoga and meditaion but also from spending time with the wonderful like-minded people that I met there. I cannot wait to come back.

This was my first Yoga Retreat and it was the best experience! I really learned a lot in terms of different Yoga styles and Meditation.
The accomodation was fantastic and very clean. I loved having a single room with an own bathroom. The surrounding is beautiful - huge garden with fruits and vegetables behind the house and cute little places to sit outside around the house. The beach is a 10 minute walk away.
The meals were excellent! Really high quality and variety during the whole week. Water, coffee, tea are provided the whole day.
The trips (guided walks, Nazaré, wine tasting) were wonderful and very well planned.
I enjoyed every minute of the Retreat and will definitely come back!
