I had some issues sending money to a friend because the system had his name registered incorrectly. So by the time he goes to retrieve it, he's not able to. So I call western union to have this issue resolved and theres a customer service agent at 4:59pm that had the worst attitude and was extremely arrogant and aggressive and not patient and very agitated. As I was trying to explain the situation he cut me off saying he needs to have me on the line even though I was in the middle of explaining. He later finds a way to muster an attitude with me after trying to confirm that the situation has been resolved. Terrible customer experience and terrible service. Please fix this.

My name is Johannes Jacobus Van Der Berg and I have paid $47 to my moms account on the 21 of March 2026,she has not received this, you first said her bank did not want to receive this the first time I emailed you,after a week passed you said the money will be returned within 3 to 5 working days, then when I phoned 3 weeks later after the funds have still not been returned you said there was a glitch in your system this is why the money was not paid to my mother, but it will be done in 3 to 5 days,into her account,after another week I phoned again and another story of her account and of my bank account being wrong, but I've been using this for a few years, so I was assured again that the funds will be paid back into my account this time again, as soon as I send my account details and statements of the transaction, I did this again and was again told it would be done in 3 to 5 days, I don't understand why this takes so long, I have sent you my details multiple time, my statements multiple times but I get the run around every time, it is June the 3rd now and still I have not received my money back, why? Always stories and excuses or this one or that one will look into the problem but no solution has been found as of yet ot os now 3rd of June and no return emails or resolve has been sent to me as no one wants to take responsibility from any employee of western union as everyone wants to pass the ball. Is there or will there be a resolve of answer to my problem, or will I ever get my money back,? I'm still waiting for my money!!!

I had several transfers lost and I had to wait 30 days to get my money back. Horrible customer service and very arrogant. They hold on to larger transfers for 7 days to collect interest on your money. Worse than a bank. Last two days, I made two transfers and both are not available for 7 days.

I have been trying to send money to the Philippines for over a week and customer service is worthless. I have talked to a supervisor three times. Been given numbers that are incorrect or not working.
For being in business for as long as you have you need to give customers better help. I have a cast number 398493321. For what good it does.

Don't use western Union the support survive is the worse, you cannot resolve any issues with them, they will move you around and call getting disconnected. Worse they will deactivate your account and when ask why and what else do you need (when you emailed them all the documents), they can't even give you an answer and tell you to call later or will get someone to call me (but they never call back)

8 days later 13 locations still no cash
I have been trying to retrieve my money for eight days now. I’m in Los Angeles. You would think there would be more availability. Every single location that I’ve gone to on Western Union‘s map & list of locations has been a no go.. from drugstores to grocery stores to supercenters to check cashing places there are no Walmart agents locations within an hour drive , a brick and mortar WU.. 7-11s supposedly do money orders I was willing to do that. But nope, and Walmart service dept was closed today On a MONDAY? Maybe they have gone out of business ? Theres no way I’d use them again, I’m not sure what others are doing but customer support no help Nice but not able to do anything and they need to update their locations in the system

Tried to send £1000 to my son abroad , after I paid and returned him I got a text message to provide all my ID information which was provided already at the post office, I was suspicious and returned to the post office the next morning to enquire! The same person who made the transaction give me no explanation,all what he said was “ do you want your money back “? I said yes as I can see he had no intention to explain what happend or why I was contacted again to provide sensitive information to a machine, all that happened on the 15th May , still waiting for my money , called western union more than 20 times no one seem to be able to help , one of them told me to go to different post office where western union is operating 😡. Sick and tired of the way they operate, I shall never ever use them again . If I don’t get my money I shall go to my bank to find out if they can get my money back into my account .

The website advertises a service that should take 0–1 business day, but they do not deliver as promised. Customer support is extremely poor, and when you try to get help, you only receive generic responses with no real assistance or solution.

What is the point of using a money gram services ie Western Union,if they can NOT cash the money order thier company took the cash for in a different location at any location (Western Union) within 50 miles of where the money order was sent to. This is a joke,stop calling yourself a money service if you can't even cash money orders that you made.
