After they take your money for the deposit in case you are not accepted you wait weeks until you receive your money back. Almost 2 weeks and i ve been calling them daily and emails to tell me today ohh we forgot we will do the refund today. Begging for my own money and Ineta the agent said ohh wait for your money another 3-4 days on a rude and raised voice
Sharman Quinney Hampton
Sharman Quinney Hampton
I don't usually leave reviews, but having worked in estate agency myself and bought and sold several properties over the years, I feel I'm in a position to provide an informed and balanced perspective.
I chose Sharman Quinney on a fee of around 1% plus VAT, and unfortunately the level of service I received didn't justify that cost.
From the outset there were communication issues. I repeatedly tried calling the branch but couldn't get through. When I visited the office, I mentioned this and was told the phones were working. I then called the branch while standing there and none of the phones rang, clearly showing there was a problem. I was told it would be looked into, but I never received any follow-up.
When valuing my property, I was told there was already a list of potential applicants who may be interested. However, as far as I could tell, those applicants were never contacted. Instead, the marketing appeared to rely almost entirely on Rightmove and Zoopla rather than proactive matching from an applicant database.
Communication throughout the sale was disappointing. It was often difficult to get calls returned despite leaving voicemails and emails. Viewing feedback was another frustration. Rather than being contacted promptly after viewings, I regularly had to chase for feedback myself, sometimes waiting several days without hearing anything.
I was also disappointed with the handling of negotiations. We accepted an offer, only to discover around two weeks later that the buyers were still actively viewing other properties. The negotiator was aware of this but didn't make us aware before we accepted the offer. Had we known, it would have influenced our decision-making.
The communication with buyers also appeared lacking. When the buyers requested a second viewing, we declined because we no longer wished to proceed with them. Despite this, the buyers still arrived at our property at the agreed time, suggesting our decision had not been passed on.
Once the property was on the market, there was very little proactive contact from the branch unless I initiated it. As a client, I expected more regular updates, even if there had been nothing significant to report.
My final concern relates to security. After taking the property off the market, we collected our keys from the branch. We were not asked for any identification, proof of address, or even our names before being handed the keys. Given that these keys provide access to someone's home, I found this extremely concerning and below the standard I would expect from any estate agency.
I appreciate that buying and selling property is a complex process and that not every sale runs smoothly. However, my concerns relate primarily to communication, proactivity and basic procedures rather than the outcome itself. Based on my experience, I wouldn't use this branch again and hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve the service for future clients.

As a first time buyer
As a first time buyer with Sharman Quinney Ramsey, my experience was extremely horrible with this company especially Charlotte. All the other members of staff were professional, polite, kind and smiley. Charlotte was extremely rude, never smiled, totally unprofessional, never communicated and I believe has no people skills. I think she has to be retrained on how to work with people. To make matters worse, she never congratulated me in buying my new house and literally put the keys on the table and asked me to sign a document verifying the pick up keys. Very sad, as you would want someone to be happy for their purchase.

Persistent unwanted contact and gazumping
Over the last few months, I’ve been contacted around five times and repeatedly encouraged to make an offer on a property I viewed some time ago in Thrapston.
While I was interested initially, the persistent follow-up came across as overly pushy and, if anything, put me off pursuing it further.
I was also uncomfortable with what appeared to be an encouragement to gazump another buyer. At one point, I was told that someone had just made an offer that day and contacted to see whether I wanted to submit a higher one.
Rather than getting involved in a bidding situation after another buyer had already committed, I wished them the best of luck and declined.
Overall, the sales approach felt overly aggressive and left a negative impression.
Worse experience I have ever had
Worse experience I have ever had. Get everything in writing from them and even if you do, they will never fix any issues and lie to you and ignore emails for weeks!
The most unprofessional agency I have ever dealt with.
DO NOT DEAL with this agency!
landlords steer clear
I am a landlord with two properties they looked after. For 18 months. on one property I was never paid my rent on time. I was always chasing for my money. There is no one in the office. You always have to leave a message and they don’t get back to you even my tenants had trouble reporting faults to the property as I said there was no one there for them so I would never get the message. I have had property for over 20 years and I have never come across a managing agent as bad as these. That is why I only stayed with them for 18 months. It would’ve been 12 months but you have to give them six months notice. Again I’ve never heard of that. My advice to landlords steer clear.

Not a proper service
I’ve had a fantastic experience working…
I’ve had a fantastic experience working with Shaman Quinney as my letting agent. As I live quite far from the property, it was really important for me to have someone reliable managing everything and they truly delivered.
The whole process was smooth and stress-free from start to finish. They handled everything professionally, from finding the right tenant to taking care of all the paperwork, which gave me real peace of mind.
A special thank you to Naz, who was incredibly helpful throughout. She was always responsive, supportive, and made the entire letting process feel easy and well managed.
I would highly recommend Shaman Quinney to anyone looking for a trustworthy and efficient letting agent.
Harassment
Haven't even got my house for sale with them and keep cold calling me hounding me to use them to sell it. If I want to sell my house with you I will call you and for future reference I won't be using you
Bought a house
Bought a house, sold a house. Both went through easily and cleanly. The Market Deeping team were attentive and kept us up to date at all times.
Many thanks

Fantastic viewing and support
Fantastic viewing and support from Rachael Gill at the Deeping branch. She was kind caring and sensitive with our situation and made the viewing easy. Highly recommend
Although we didn’t go with the property we would highly recommend
Excellent Service
Right from the start of the process we have enjoyed a great deal of support from our engagement with the service offered by Chloe. She was very kind, a brilliant example of an ideal customer relationship. She guided us through what was supposed to be a difficult process with ease and confidence. Her expertise and knowledge were invaluable, it was a real pleasure dealing with Chloe Satchell.
Ignored, Misled and Left Waiting Over 10 Months for Mould Repairs, 8 Months for Roof Repairs
My experience with Sharman Quinney Lettings has been one of the most stressful and unprofessional I’ve ever had as a tenant.
Sharman Quinney knowingly let the property in a state of disrepair, with visible mould and a leaking roof, as confirmed by the independent check-in inventory at the start of my tenancy. Despite this, they took no proactive action to address it and left me waiting over 10 months for mould repairs.
Emails show even the landlord admitted the mould was caused by the leaking roof, yet Sharman Quinney repeatedly delayed and gave contradictory explanations—at one point falsely claiming asbestos was present when the landlord had already confirmed there wasn’t.
Appointments were missed or arranged without notice, and when I explained a proposed date didn’t work, Repairs Manager ignored my request and insisted it would go ahead anyway, despite my disability and stated need for email communication.
When the repairs finally happened, they were unprofessional and unsafe—workers arrived without tools, used my personal broom to scrape mould, and left the area contaminated. My formal complaint about this was never logged, despite their policy requiring it.
To make matters worse, Sharman Quinney later falsely claimed to be a “third party” uninvolved in repairs, which is demonstrably untrue. Multiple emails show their direct coordination of contractors and repair schedules. It’s extremely concerning that a manager would knowingly make such a false claim despite overwhelming written evidence. Even though clear evidence shows the property was let with a leaking roof and mould, they offered no apology or compensation, highlighting poor service and an inadequate complaints process.
In short:
• Property knowingly let with mould and a leaking roof.
• 8 months waiting for repairs and 10 months for mould repairs
• Health hazards ignored.
• Appointments missed and communication poor.
• Complaint unrecorded.
• False denial of responsibility.
