Painless. Works as advertised. Reasonable FX rate given this was a zero fee transaction. Certainly cheaper and faster than bank to bank with them doing the FX.

The timely manner of the transfer and the exchange rate plus no fees

So in December 2025 OFX delayed a payment I had made for 10 days without contacting me to say so and without a real explanation. I was told a Manager from the company would contact me, they didnt.

So already concerned about OFX we have used other payment routes since and now OFX have made an announcement that they have been hacked. When asked when they think this happened and when they found out about it they refuse to provide an answer.

Would you trust your FX payments with these guys.

I tried to book payments last Friday. I received an out of office from Dave so immediately contacted Deepak by email, but received no reply. had to contact Dave on Tuesday AM and received an immediate reply.
.I'm old school and prefer to do my FX deals by email. Convera stopped doing these or replying to me so that's why I've changed to OFX. hoping for faster service next time. thanks.

The reply sounds like the scam phone call I get about once a week asking me to call "this number" if the money was taken out of my account by mistake....
"Hi Michael,
We have been investigating a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorised access to data, including data relating to some clients."
Got this from OFX ... What in the world is OFX and why am I connected with this company? This was sent without any explanation as to what MY involvement with this company is. There was a very long explanation as to what they were doing about the security breach but NOTHING about why I was involved. I was warned to guard my password. What password. Apparently I have an account with OFX without my knowing. Thanks for the pointless worrying.

I have been using OFX for 12 years now. Easier than using banks, with much better exchange rates. Recommend without reserve.

The fact that I entered the Remitry sight and ended up in OFX. The reason OFX did not give more details of the information necessary to have the transfer made right away. The beneficiaire had to be contacted to provide extra information after had waited for a week for the money and again wait another week.

Always impressed by how helpful are all members of the OFX teams. There are frustrations at times with the sometimes pedantic AI verifications but the team members are invariably helpful and courteous.

This is the worst currency company ever. Do not use them. Just Google and you'll find many others. I will never use them again. Too many problems to describe. It's simply better to use someone else. They hold your money hostage for many days, put you on long holds and don't answer the phone, play stupid by email, harass you. All for a simple transfer of €1200.

I have been a client of OFX for several years. They are an excellent company that cares about their clients and will go the extra mile to help them out with any transfer issues that might arise. They have never let me down.

I made 3 transferred to INDIA but 2 days later bank returned the payments back to USD however returned payments converts back in dollars and got $715 short of $8000 transfer. It's a rip off , I am closing this account.

My experience with OFX’s onboarding has been deeply frustrating. I made eight attempts to engage with them, provided all the requested information and documentation, and spent far too much time waiting and following up while the process kept dragging on.
I understand that compliance checks are necessary. What I do not understand is the lack of communication, ownership, and meaningful customer engagement. The process is very unengaging and entirely one-way: submit information, wait, chase, and repeat—with no clear path forward.
When a company requests sensitive business and personal information, customers deserve transparency about the process and a responsive point of contact. Compliance requirements do not excuse leaving customers in limbo.
After eight attempts, I have lost confidence in OFX before even getting started. Based on this experience, I would not recommend OFX to any business that values clear communication, accountability, and respect for its time.

Transparent information and application form provided confidence in capacity of OFX to deliver an efficient professional service.

So easy to contact and very competitive exchange rates.
