The people who answer the calls when my father accidentally bumps his guardian are kind and respectful. Sometimes he can’t hear them when he puts it on the charger going to bed . So hopefully they can speak loudly if he doesn’t hear them it would help a lot thank you.

I indicated today's date, because I've just finished talking with one of the representatives regarding ongoing, reoccurring issues that I have had with this company. I have been a customer for many years, and have been extremely frustrated with their service. I have written letters to their corporate office, as recently as 2 weeks ago. I called last week and was disconnected three times consecutively. There was no callback. I am still in the process of returning the old one, which kept going off for no reason. I was instructed to shut it down before packing it, but while in transit, it kept alarming, resulting in the early morning disturbance of my family contacts.
A new one was sent to me 2 weeks ago, and was supposed to include fall detection. However, I literally fell down the steps, but the alarm did not sound. The representative with whom I just spoke had me drop the device several times, but nothing happened.
Thank goodness that I survived the fall down the stairs, because if I was unable to move, I would not have been able to use the device. I am an old person living alone, and this device is supposed to give me peace of mind. On the contrary, it has been nothing but stressful to me.
They are now in the process of sending me another device (I have lost count of the numerous devices that have been sent to me). If there are any more issues after this, I will definitely terminate my very long contract with Medical Guardian. In the meantime, I will begin to shop around for viable options.

Unfortunately, I need to add this to my recent review. Since I wrote the previous one, a new device was sent to me. This is the third one in a month. A few minutes ago, I wore it in the shower and it fell to the floor because of the faulty string that's attached to the pendant. The alarm did not sound. When I got out of the shower, I held it up and dropped it three times consecutively. The alarm DID NOT sound. I then pressed the help button, but there was no response until almost 10 minutes. I have had enough of these incompetent device and will terminate my service tomorrow. What a shame!

I havent needed to use my device as of yet, but I feel better knowing I have it if the need does arise. Peace of mind means everything. It is one positive thing in my life.

UPDATE: Medical Guardian states publicly that it “reached out to get more information\.” For the record, we have received no such outreach—no telephone call, voicemail, email, or other communication\. If the company genuinely wishes to investigate why its device failed to alert anyone when we personally witnessed the fall, it already has our customer information and can contact us directly\.

This was not a minor inconvenience\. We relied on this device to summon help during precisely this kind of emergency, and it failed to do so\. A public statement expressing concern is not the same as actually contacting the customer, investigating what happened, and providing an explanation\. We purchased Medical Guardian to protect my 90-year-old mother. During an actual fall that I personally witnessed while she was wearing the device, it did not perform as we expected. We then conducted several additional tests and experienced further problems. After that experience, we no longer felt we could rely on the system for her safety. When we contacted the company, we requested a full refund because we were ending the service due to our loss of confidence after the observed failure, not because we changed our minds. The company instead treated it as a standard cancellation and offered only a prorated refund. We purchased this service for peace of mind in an emergency, and after our experience, we no longer had that confidence.

Setup went well, and periodic tests seem to work okay - however, it can take about 5 minutes to get a response.

A bigger concern is that the battery in my mother's pendant died. There's no way for users to replace the battery, so the the company has to send us a new one. We've had to call multiple times, and after 3 weeks the replacement still hasn't arrived.

It doesn't matter how good their services are if the life-saving button doesn't work.

I had a scare, I live alone, and realized I needed something to allow me to get help when I was unable to reach my phone. I did my research and decided the best product available at an affordable price and with no long term contract was Medical Guardian. I ordered it and it arrived shortly and was easy to use. I tested it often at and away from home wondering if it really worked as well as they said when it was a real situation. Three months wearing it constantly and I found out it was everything they claimed. I was awaken with severe chest pains and dizziness. I was afraid to move or I would fall or pass out and my cell phone was charging out of reach. I was wearing my my Medical Guardian so I pressed the button and a live staff person made the call for the squad, they calmed me and stayed on the phone until the EMTs arrived. They also alerted all four people on my emergency contact list that I went to the hospital. I am so thankful that I finally made the call to enroll in the Medical Guardian service. I encourage anyone in need whether you live alone or with someone to call them today.

Great response time. Equipment works well and is reliable. Too expensive for me. I will look for lesser quality but something I can afford.

The company is a scam, screwing vulnerable senior citizens by their fraudulent charges, refusal to cancel, or refund fees, and furthermore, the companies that endorse these con-artists, fail to disclose that they are paid to endorse this company. ANYONE WHO DOUBTS WHAT I AM SAYING, GO OLINE AD read all the complaints against Medical Guardian.
