Really helpful and impartial advice on purchasing my first decent helmet and bike security. Ended up with an Arai Debut and didn't feel pushed to spend more which makes for a much better experience.... See more

Avery was absolutely brilliant
Avery was absolutely brilliant. We went in for clothing with little idea of what we were after. With all the right questions, Avery got us exactly what we needed. Got kitted out with jacket, trousers, gloves, boots, security lock and more, seamlessly. He was a masterclass at customer service. Can honestly say we’ve never experienced this level of service, ever. This guys knows his stuff. Thank you for making what could have been a stressful shop, a thoroughly enjoyable one.
"Helmet Head"
ok, so I bought a Shoei Neotec 3 helmet + Sena SRL3 system from the Aberdeen store after being measured for a helmet. Large was the size (measured twice by staff) and I left a happy chappy, looking forward to trying out the new lid. First few weeks were short trips (all good), next a couple of longer ones and that's where my problems started. Head was pounding after and I put it down to new helmet, give it time to bed in - nope, time made no difference.
Long story short, following a trip to another local dealer, to try to retro fit the helmet with different padding (they use the PFS & measured my noggin as XXL), I wrote to J&S explaining what happened and expected to be told that as I'd worn it, game over... What did happen was I was asked to revisit the Aberdeen store and liaise with the manager "Laura" who had been briefed on my e-m. She was absolutely brilliant, totally professional, measured my head again (confirmed in the mirror it's a L), listened and gave advice based on experience and expert product knowledge. Solution was a thinner inner skull cap , which after riding the bike for 2.5hrs has resulted in resolution and a very, very happy customer.
Laura, is a credit to the J&S organisation and represented the company magnificently. I would highly recommend her and J&S going forward.
Thanks again,
Derek Fraser

Great place!
Sam, assistant Manager was very very informative, helpful and thorough, answered all our questions, explianed in detail and helped with the purchase of finding a fitting helmet. Exceptional service provided, wasn't rushed at all. Been buying from J&S for a long time, got 6 jackets, boots and now a helmet. Great quality items, service and people. Well worthwhile and always a joy. Thank you Sam!

Old school good old customer service
Just bought a new Shark full face helmet. Initially they didn’t have my size but placed an order for me which arrived the next day. I needed a new Cardo second helmet kit fitting and they did that too. The staff are amazing. I always have a great experience when I visit as well as a good laugh. I reckon it would be a great place to work as they all have a brilliant sense of humour. I’m happy all round and this will always be my go to store for biking gear.

Great experience buying from J&S😀
Really good experience buying two paddock stands from J&S, arrived next day and work great with my bike, feel stable on the L cups and seem to be of good quality. Would buy from them again

Bad attitudes .. but it turned out ok
I went to J&S to purchase a new helmet for safety reasons - the sales staff were really really good and helped me choose and nothing was to much trouble, I decided on a Shoei @ £590 - the sales staff suggested a size small even though my current helmet was medium but after I got it home and test it with my moto ear plugs it was just two uncomfortable. I phone up and the guy Jake suggested I could swap it :-). On my return to the shop on the same day in Nottingham the sales staff at till were really negative, saying "its not a try before you buy service, you know" and were very very negative and gave the impression they just didnt want to be there. Undertones of sarcasm etc etc. Not the first time ive experience this, I purchased an Oxford lock not realising id picked up the non alarm version - of course I had no problem paying the difference but again the same person at the till was very negative. The whole experience will mean I will now go to CMC in Chesterfield. I will not be spending any more money at any J&S stores. Be warned if you ever want to return and swap etc !! Also just realised the never included the boxed accessories and warranty booklet with my replacememt helmet ... £590!! Just did the binimum ... couldnt wait to get me out the store.
Additional - the companys response was a request to contact them via email as you can see below, which I did. Guess what, no response almost two weeks later. Re-enforcing the reasons why you should spend your money else where. They just dont care ... just like to give the impression they take the reviews seriously.
*Update*
A member of the customer service team has reached out and organised the delivery of my helmet accessories along with providing some feedback from the staff at the Nottingham branch which was really nice - Very helpful in the end, I think I will try the Super store in Doncaster next time however - Thanks John S - you are a credit to J&S

Exceptional service from Brad J&S Eltham
Bought an Arai RX7V EVO helmet from them in June and in August the chin vent broke and came out. “Brad” at J&S Eltham took my call, I explained the issue and gave my invoice details. The spare part was ordered and they had it the following day. Brad then personally dropped the part off to me at 7pm on his way home.
What exceptional customer service! Thanks Brad for going out of your way.

Rob J&S leyland
We went to J&S at leyland to upgrade the wife’s helmet.
The salesman Rob was Brilliant as my wife was unsure what style and fit she wanted. He talked her through everything and made my day so much easier.
Cheers to Robs approach and knowledge we will be going back again Thankyou
Great range of gear.
They have a good range of
clothing, helmets and accessories. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and do not badger you. Plenty of parking. The prices were good and I will definitely use them again in the near future.
I had a really positive experience…
I had a really positive experience thanks to Stuart, who was incredibly helpful when I was looking for a new motorbike jacket.
He took the time to explain the different types of jackets, the safety features, materials and what to look for when choosing the right gear. What really stood out was his knowledge — having previously worked as an engineer, he was able to explain things in a very clear and knowledgeable way, without ever making me feel pressured into buying anything.
His advice gave me a much better understanding of motorcycle safety gear and, more importantly, a lot more confidence that I was making the right choice. I ended up buying a jacket that I’m really happy with.
A massive thank you to Stuart for taking the time to help me. Excellent customer service, great knowledge and a genuinely helpful guy. He’s a real credit to the store and I’d happily recommend him to anyone looking for motorcycle equipment.
Not even on the road yet, but feeling confident!
I recently went into J&S Accessories in Southampton as I’m thinking about doing my CBT and wanted to have a look at some gear to get an idea of what I might need
Stu was absolutely brilliant! He took the time to explain so many things to me, from PPE, how to properly fit a helmet and work out the right size, the right jacket and trousers, A+ ratings and loads more. He explained everything really clearly and made it so easy to understand
What I really appreciated was how helpful he was even though I haven’t even done my CBT yet! He could have easily just shown me a few things, but instead he took the time to actually give me advice and answer all my questions. I left feeling so much more confident about getting started!
My husband needed a jacket, so he ended up buying one, but when I get my licence, I’ll definitely be back to get all my gear from here
Thanks Stu for all your help, really appreciated! Highly recommend J&S Accessories and the service we received 🏍️👏
This Branch Needs Sorting
Sadly, one of the worst shopping experiences of my life (and I'm old!).
I phoned J&S Wolverhampton in advance, to check stock and to tell them that I needed a complete new set of leathers. I then drove an hour to get to the shop, walked in, told them I was the guy who'd phoned earlier, so they knew who I was and that I was serious. I was met by 3 individuals, all scrolling on their phones. They hardly even bothered to look up. I asked them where the Alpinestars and RST gear was and was shown by one of 'the team', who promptly disappeared back behind the counter with the others, having made no attempt whatsoever to discuss my requirements or advise me.
After a half an hour of trying to decipher the shop's random, badly layed out stock (much of it mislabelled) I went back to the counter and asked for some help. The same guy accompanied me back to the clothing racks and it soon became apparent that he didn’t know anything about what he was selling and was unable to answer even the most basic questions. He said he'd find some things out, then quickly went back to behind the counter, where the others were (I kid you not) having some sort of singing contest amongst themselves. He never returned.
I spent over an hour and a half in J&S, and at no time in that long stay did any of the sales staff even approach me, to offer assistance or guidance. I had £1,000 to spend and walked out of their door, having spent nothing. By that point, the counter area was completely empty – two of ‘the team’ had moved outside into the sunshine, sitting on top of a bench, still scrolling on their phones. The shop was virtually unmanned, with hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of stock left unguarded. I could have stuck anything into my pocket and walked out, unchallenged.
In my opinion, it is an absolute travesty that top end brands like Alpinestars, Dainese, Furygan and RST are allowing their prestige products to be sold by an outfit like this. Having been a sales manager for most of my life, I can tell you that without a doubt this branch of J&S is costing its owners a fortune in lost sales. It needs a new manager and a complete shake up - starting with a total ban on the use of personal mobile phones during working hours.
I drove an hour home, went online and spent the money with Sportsbikeshop (who are excellent, by the way).

Attitude is terrible.
Went to the Hamilton store to upgrade my helmet (which was previously purchased from them), after a while looking at the helmet selection we asked for help. A heavy set gent came up from the counter, i explained I wanted an upgrade, he proceeded to talk AT me, not once asking what I already had or what I was looking to spend, talking to me as if I'd never worn a helmet before. I found this very off putting so said I'd have another look round.
When we went to the counter to purchase cleaning products the same gent was too engrossed in showing videos to another member of staff, it felt like we were interrupting his personal time and he was very abrupt when we asked to pay of the items.
What made the experience worse was the member of staff smoking at the front door on our way in and there again when we left.
Very disappointed, previous staff were a delight, not sure we'll be back.
