I recently completed the CTO Academy and found it to be a highly valuable learning experience. The course was practical, well-structured, and very relevant to the challenges modern tech leaders face. It strengthened my understanding across leadership, business, product, and technology strategy, and gave me useful insights I can apply in my day-to-day work. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to grow their skills as a tech leader.
**Great experience with CTO Academy**
I had a very positive experience with CTO Academy. The content is well structured, practical, and relevant for technology leaders and CTOs.
What I particularly appreciated is the combination of technical knowledge with leadership, strategy, and real-world business considerations. The courses are easy to follow and provide useful insights that can be applied directly in a professional environment.
I would definitely recommend CTO Academy to developers, tech leads, engineering managers, and aspiring CTOs who want to strengthen both their technical leadership and business skills.
This course is quite unique. There’s a lot of ground to cover, and it’s not just aimed at aspiring CTOs. I think it’s equally useful for Tech Leads, IT Managers and Senior Engineers who want to get a broader view beyond the purely technical side.
For me, as an engineer, some of the topics that might initially sound a bit “boring” actually made the biggest difference. Things like budgeting, data regulation or even IPO and funding rounds are quite far from my usual technical interests, but they gave me the vocabulary and basic understanding to follow those conversations properly. And as you progress in your career, that wider understanding becomes surprisingly useful.
As experienced leaders you would expect to know a lot of the concepts and content presented, however, the 200+ lectures across 9 modules and 36 weeks means that even if you think you know the content, there will definitely be a lot to learn and reflect upon what you already know.
The course, and the materials provided by CTO-Academy and the Digital MBA are an excellent investment in time and money.
My experience with CTO Academy has been outstanding. Coming from a technical background, this program helped me expand my leadership mindset, improve my communication style, and build a stronger understanding of business strategy. The faculty brought real‑world experience, empathy, and clarity to every module. This program genuinely changed how I lead. Five stars.
The CTO Academy MBA course exceeded expectations. The content goes well beyond tech — covering leadership psychology, finance, M&A, data, and security, all through the lens of what a CTO actually needs to operate at board level. The guest lecturers bring real-world credibility, and the assessments genuinely reinforce the material. A solid investment for any tech leader serious about stepping up. Highly recommended.

I've recently completed the Digital MBA for Technology Leaders with CTO Academy.
I signed up to close a few gaps I already knew about.
What I didn't expect was how many I'd find that I hadn't spotted — and, more usefully, that each came with a practical route to addressing it rather than just a name for the problem.
The curriculum is a well-judged curation of what actually matters on a technology leader's journey: practical, current, and pitched at the decisions you're making now rather than theory for its own sake. It's also a living course, updated in response to student feedback, so I'm looking forward to seeing which topics emerge next.
If you're stepping into a technology leadership role — or you've recently landed in one and are still working out what actually changed — it's worth your time.
Thanks to the team at CTO Academy.

Very wide range of subjects with very interesting speakers, which come directly from the Software business.
I found it very well organized, easy to manage and the self-paced rhythm is a big plus.
The off-line meet-ups in Amsterdam were also great to connect with fellow CTO.Academy students.

CTO Academy digital MBA provided me with the education I needed as I found myself in an Interim CTO role, and helped me bridge the gaps in areas such as business strategy, finance acumen, and team leadership at scale. The content is rich, and flexible for someone juggling a demanding job, chaotic hours, with a young family.

The course provided fantastic insights into transitioning from a developer to a leadership role. Highly recommended for aspiring CTOs.
This has been one of the best training courses I've done. Definitely thought provoking, and I feel more capable following completion of the course. I've unquestionably learned some useful concepts, and taken action based on some of the content. You can't ask for much more. There were challenges keeping some of the content up-to-date, which the team responded to.

I’ve recently completed the Digital MBA with CTO Academy, and I can honestly say it’s been a really valuable experience.
It took me a few years to work my way through the programme alongside work and life commitments, so reaching the finish line feels like a real achievement. One of the things I appreciated most was how flexible the course was, which made it possible to fit learning around a busy schedule.
The content itself was excellent, but what stood out most was that I learned not just from the material, but also about myself — particularly in terms of leadership, personal growth, and how I think about my own leadership style.
The lecturers were fantastic throughout. There are too many to mention, but a few standouts for me were Julian, Lucy-Rose, Joff, Hariharan Gopalan, and Joseph Trodden.
A big thank you as well to CTO Academy and its founders, Andrew and Jason, for putting together such a thoughtful and well-structured programme.
I’d highly recommend the Digital MBA to anyone looking to grow their leadership capability, broaden their business understanding, and continue developing alongside a demanding role.
