It took a few goes to get SMTP relay working on Postfix but the tech support was smart and helpful and I got it working in about 2 attempts. This was because Outlook was bouncing emails from my domain... See more

Poor experience
Poor experience. Brevo suspended/rejected the account before we had even properly started using it, with no meaningful explanation and no practical route to resolve it.
The account was only intended for standard WordPress SMTP/transactional emails such as contact form notifications and password resets — not marketing, cold outreach, or bulk campaigns. The domain and sender were verified, and we would likely have upgraded after testing if the service worked well.
Instead, Brevo simply refused validation and gave a generic “terms and conditions / anti-spam policy” response without saying what the actual issue was. I understand email providers need anti-spam checks, but rejecting a legitimate small business account with no explanation is poor onboarding and poor customer service.
We are using another provider successfully with no problems, so this appears to be an issue with Brevo’s internal review process rather than our website or use case.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend Brevo for small businesses looking for a straightforward SMTP solution.
Brevo does exactly what I need
Brevo does exactly what I need. Easy to use, reliable, and affordable. The reporting dashboard is clear and actionable. 5 stars.
very poor service - brand new account suspension ) no activity
opened an account and got it suspended after linking my subdomain... no email sent, nothing.
now, don't care particularly about having an account with them considering how many competitors exist, but the fact that they reply (after contacting them) with a
"Unfortunately, we cannot provide specific details regarding this decision, but we encourage you to review our Anti-Spam Policy here and our Terms of Use here."
is what make people furious because of the waste of time and the money they already took from me.
Just to clarify, I did not even send 1 email... not even a test. And I linked my 12 years old domain to brevo.
If you only were more "human" in your explanation, you would have saved yourself a bad review.

Terrible
Terrible, we had an account for a few days and send a very nurtal email to some cleint that had a news snippet with a word they defined as spammy.. then they jerked us around for a month, guided us to open a new account, buy a dedicated IP, only to refuse service at the end... disgusting behavior

Brevo is such utter shite
Brevo is such utter shite. It DOES NOT 'drag and drop' - it DOES NOT 'save' - it is unbelievably complicated - it literally takes a whole day just to try and work out how to design a simple invitation. It couldn't be more difficult and impossible to use if it tried. Absolute bag of crap.

Very poor experience
Very poor experience. Received zero leads in my first couple of months, so I called to ask what was going on. Lo and behold, the very next day I get a lead. Of course, it was a non responsive lead, and the number does not even show up in ForeWarn, so I can only guess it was a fake lead to try and make me happy. Avoid this company at all costs.

ATTN: Builders
I started building and needed a backend for my lead intake. Brevo ticked all the boxes for me by integrating CRM, email sequencing, a solid API, and high customisability, along with GDPR awareness. When I managed to break something, their customer team was super responsive. All on the free tier (!). If my project grows like I hope it will, moving to a paid tier will be a no-brainer.
DO NOT WORK WITH THEM FOR SMS CAMPAIGNS NOR ANYTHING PHONE RELATED
DO NOT WORK WITH THEM FOR SMS CAMPAIGNS
I've been with their service for more than 2 years, when their where sendinblue instead of Brevo. 6 months ago, they trashed an SMS campaign where their link shortener didn't work and I had to fight tooth and nails to be given a refund. And of course no compensation of any kind, when all the sms ended flagged as spam because of their negligence and the broken link.
Now because of some spanish legislation they asked to fill a google forms (very profesional) with some info. I asked a few questions about that, and when they answered, the form already expired. After more than 2 weeks I still have no answers, and I couldn't fill the form so I don't know if I'm going to be able to keep sending sms.
And about the sms and tokens service. A thing that I do not understand is that they seem to not like money. If you program a campaign and you don't have enought tokens to send it, not a warning is issued. It's not after they try to send the campaing and the tokens are depleted that they pause the sms campaign in the middle and send you an email. ¿?¿?¿?¿?
Please help me make sense of it. In other services when you want to send something and not enought funds, there is an autopay option somewhere. Or at least a warning: "You don't have enought tokens to send this campaign in full, please buy more". But no, a simple email alerting of that (not event a sms to your phone), and they call it a day.
I'm thinking about how to translate all the Database to another service because I'm tired of their bullshit
Sumary:
Useless customer suport
SMS Platform with several big errors
No proper compensation for mistakes of their own

Extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I set up an official account for my company.. went through the entire technical process of authenticating my domain (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and was permanently suspended before I even sent a single email. They offer no path to appeal and no human transparency. They will flag your domain and leave you stranded. Pathetic Experience

Brevo blocked my account with no warning, cutting off all access to the platform. Fine. But then I discovered they STILL charged me €40 after the block. How is that even possible? You suspend the service but keep billing?
I contacted support to request a refund and removal of my payment details. Still waiting for a real response. If you're considering Brevo, know that even when they lock you out, they'll happily keep taking your money.
Currently in the process of filing a fraud complaint and initiating a chargeback. Avoid.

Choose Brevo!!!
They offer a great free plan for starting businesses. Very easy to set up, good documentation. Since choosing Brevo, all our transactional email delivery problems were solved. One morning there was an issue affecting Brevo's SMTP service. Within minutes this issue was discovered by Brevo and a few minutes later it was solved, meanwhile the progress on this issue was communicated clearly on their incident status page.

300 emails a day! I thought like it was 300 emails if this and that and this other thing so i actually becomes 30 and we have a super aggresive ad campaign that makes it unusable after a while but nope!

I initially started using Brevo when it was Send In Blue because it was a great option for business that didn't have a large list of people or didn't send multiple campaigns per week or month. I have to say, its a great platform, is a really stellar option if you dont think business should have to pay hundreds of dollars a month to stay in contact with their clients or possible clients.
